The members of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church are honored to be led by Rev. Jarod A. Cooper, a devoted servant of God whose life has been marked by faith, compassion, and a commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Born and raised in Morristown, New Jersey, Pastor Cooper accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on February 11, 1990, at Calvary Baptist Church. Just two weeks later, on February 25, 1990, he publicly professed his faith through baptism under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Gary V. Simpson. Answering God's call to ministry, Pastor Cooper preached his first sermon on June 25, 1997, at Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown while serving under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. Jerry M. Carter, Jr.
Pastor Cooper has faithfully dedicated his life to preaching, teaching, and serving God's people. Pastor Cooper earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, before continuing his theological education at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey, where he received a Master of Divinity degree. He further strengthened his ministry through a pastoral internship with the Young Adult Ministry at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. With a heart for caring for others, Pastor Cooper completed Clinical Pastoral Education at the Texas Medical Center in Houston and advanced his chaplaincy training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He currently serves as a full-time chaplain, providing compassionate spiritual care to hospice and palliative care patients and their families during some of life's most meaningful moments.
In 2025, Pastor Cooper was called to serve as the Pastor of the historic Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Under his leadership, the church continues its mission of proclaiming the Gospel, strengthening believers, serving the community, and building disciples for Jesus Christ. Pastor Cooper is blessed to share life and ministry with his beloved wife, Robbie Jennice Cooper, and together they are the proud parents of Joshua and Jiana. Their family remains committed to serving God and encouraging others to grow in faith, hope, and love. Guided by the principles of humility, compassion, and biblical truth, Pastor Cooper leads with a servant's heart and a passion for seeing lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.
